From the time Ryan (my husband) and I first began talking about starting a family, we agreed that I would be a stay-at-home mom. Both of our moms were homemakers, and we wanted the same lifestyle for our own kids. I love everything about my life, and I am so grateful that God gave me a partner in it who feels the same as I do about ..well, almost everything. 
So, that’s what I am, and that’s what I do. When you meet new people, the question inevitably comes up, “So, what do you do?” And at first, it was hard to know what to say. I found myself being almost apologetic, “oh, I’m just a mom”. Then one day, an older, wiser mom heard me say that and told me, “Don’t ever say that you are just a mom. That is the best job there is, and maybe the hardest. It’s something to be proud of. You have chosen the better way, and you’re doing a great job.”
Well, now I don’t say that I’m “just” a mom anymore. Now, if someone asks, I happily tell them that I am so lucky, that I get to stay at home and raise my kids and be their mom, and I LOVE it!
I also am privileged to be a childbirth educator. I assist my friend and mentor, Sharon, in teaching a natural childbirth education class every week. I have gained so much from her expertise, and it is such an ongoing learning experience.
Oh yeah, by the way, my name is Bre, and my husband is Ryan. My two beloved children are Lexi (3yrs old), and Seth (1yr old). It’s nice to meet you!
